Anti-vax movement has different approaches, some groups deliberately misleads about vaccination, others have genuine fears and doubts about it. Along the 4 months studied, the anti-vaccine movement recruits undecided or fearful people, faster than pro-vaccine groups. It seems like some false arguments spread better than verified information.

Even though Twitter has been marking a lot of tweets as “misleading”, there is a lot of different new streams against vaccines. Some of them with powerful, creative and viral “memes”. Although they are jokes, data shows a dangerous combination between ignorance and comedy, because an important part of the people pass from the jokes to the anti-vaccination communities.

Related communities

Anti-vaccination communities are described below, taking into consideration influencers and the organic movement in terms of topics and the way they were moving from neutral position to the pro-vaccination movement in an organic way.
